Her theft done, Aria happily returned to her lair not far from Thebes. To get there, she had to cross the Nile using a boat that she always skillfully hid out of sight in papyri. After crossing the river, she had to walk for about twenty minutes to reach her lair, the ruins of a temple dedicated to Neith, goddess of hunt, built into the side of a cliff just before the desert. It was there, in this distant place, that she piled up the fruits of her thefts and her "expeditions". In the offering hall that served as her bedroom, there were a large number of precious objects and statuettes. A few chests filled with gold and lapis lazuli jewels served as decoration for our thief's lair. To guard her treasure, she could count on her best friend Horus, a very loyal Pharaoh hound. “Horus!
